Asio Driver Install Error

Just upgraded hardware (Windows 10) and am re-installing RB. Using in performance mode w/ XDJ-RX. The installation of the driver fails w/ (002) error and if I chose it from within RB preferences, I get "Error while opening Pioneer DXJ-RX ASIO (v1.0). I have the midi cable disconnected, as told until the install is complete. Please help @ Pulse!

got it sorted, nevermind.

Mart,

Try a restart after the failed install. To be honest I tried so many things and I believe that was the answer.

Hi Tommy, doesn't work.I keep getting this screen... did multiple re-installs, without virus scan, etc. I'm working with a brand new Asus running Windows 10... should work fine....

Any ideas?

I just bought the Asus as well i3 @3.7 GHz 8Gb ram. I did what you did, uninstalled everything and started from scratch (the driver utility). Eventually it worked. Good luck, i know its frustrating. Hopefully  Pulse chimes in

@Martijn > Please try using the XDJ-RX uninstallation utility found in the driver installation zip, then reboot your computer, run the driver installer, then reboot again and try rekordbox once more.

@Pulse - Did that, no luck. I've also tried to uninstall Rekordbox but it seems that's harder to do with Windows 10. Do you know how to completely uninstall RB om W10? I can remember when I installed RB first it had an error during installation. Maybe that's causing this. So I want to completely remove it,... this seems to be hard as everytime i restart after uninstalling/installing my 'old' playlist is just there. So there seems to be some sort of data left after uninstalling.

@Martijn > I would expect that the ASIO drivers and rekordbox are independent of each-other; you can have the drivers working without rekordbox, and vice-versa.

But if you want to try an uninstall, I'll see if I can get some info. I know the process for Mac, but not 100% sure on the PC regarding the registry.

@Pulse - well, I would too, but Rekordbox also gives the error when trying to open my Audio 8 Asio,... the Realtek Asio goes fine... I'm running on a Windows 10 machine,...

By the way, when connecting to LAN the Link works just fine. See pic.

Anyway, tried uninstalling drivers and rekordbox once more today...including registry clean up,... and installed them both once more...no luck :-((( same error...VERY frustrating!

What the could be causing this error?????? Does anyone know what to do? Help please!!!

The message you attached is shown when you select a driver of XDJ-RX, which is not connected to rekordbox, in the Audio setting tab from preferences.

It seems the driver of XDJ-RX is properly installed, but the PC does not recognize connection of XDJ-RX to the PC.

Would you please check if XDJ-RX is properly shown in Sound, Video and Game, and Controller in the Windows Device Manager when the RX is connected to the PC?

If the PC properly recognizes the XDJ-RX and the driver is loaded, the items below will be displayed:

- PIONEER XDJ-RX

- PIONEER XDJ-RX MIDI

Solved! I could not see it at first in the device screen. Powered down XDJ, dis- / reconnected all cables, rebooted computer and turned on XDJ. It's working now! I think the USB connection didn't work before, it does work now. Hope it stays that way, thanks Pulse.
