@Gus > Not being recognized how? By which software?

If the audio dropouts are regarding the S9, again, I'll ask with which software, and have you updated the firmware on the mixer and installed the most recent drivers?

@Gus > Did you connect the XDJs by USB and then press LINK and follow the instructions on the XDJ screen to connect it to Serato?

What is the USB buffer size setting in the Serato setup > Audio?

BTW they worked when I turned the Laptop off and turned the XDJs back on before turning on the laptop again

5 is the default and should work wonderfully on a new computer. Provided you're using the El Cap driver and not the Yosemite driver, it should be okay and there aren't any glaring problems. Are you using Pitch-n-Time at all? Are there any other programs running in the background?

I would recommend a sequence of having the laptop running, the XDJs powered-up, then connect them via USB before launching Serato. Once Serato is running, press LINK and then follow the steps to connect them and assign the decks.

I'm running all the latest driver u have on your site the problem with the problem with having the laptop running and plugging the USB before running serato is that I play with other djs so we would have to run this process every time we need to switch?

Have you determined if the problem with the connections is the players? Do you have the ability to test with another computer and see if the same issues exist there?

I have and have had no issues with my Windows Laptop but with the Mac it won't even get past to the "Deck select" screen

Hi,

I'm in the same boat with my 2 XDJ 1000. My mixer is DJM 900 Nexus2, and I'm using Rekordbox Dj and Traktor.

It could be an issue with El Capitan

It's an Issue with El Capitan I downgraded to Yosimite and it works now.

The engineers have confirmed that this is an issue with El Capitan and have heard that there may be a fix coming from Apple in the next update, but they will have to wait and see if that change is in effect in the public release. Thanks for your patience.

Any news on this issue?

I've updated to 10.11.5 and the problem is still there.

I don't use my xdj 1000s standalone mode with usb storage, but with rekordbox dj so this problem is very heavy.

It works with Serato now the issue is that u have to unplug and then replug the USB while serato is on I don't know why but that's how it worked for me

I don't play serato but rekordbox dj and traktor pro2, and for both software there is the same problem. It's like my mac doesn't see my 2 xdj 1000, while my djm 900 nexus2 is ok.

Try this...

Disconnect your XDJs and go into Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup. Go to Window > Show MIDI Studio (if not already visible).

Click the dropdown at the top of the window (to the left of Add device) and select New Configuration. Give it the name XDJ and click OK. Next, connect your XDJs and ensure they both appear in the window.

Quit the Audio MIDI Setup application and launch your DJ software.

Thanks Pulse but for me it doesn't work. In the configuration it seems that only xdj 1000s have only midi in and not out too. Djm 900 nexus2 and ddj-sp1 have midi in and out.
