Start Beat Grid from the immediate start of the track

Hi

New user here and recent Rekordbox convert.

I currently have just over 1000 tracks in my collection. These are tracks I have gathered over a long period of time. All tracks have been warped using Ableton and converted to AAC so there is no silence at the beginning of my tracks.

What I'd like to know is, is there a way to auto set my beat grids to start at the beginning of the track. In Traktor all I have to do is load a track into a deck, press 1 button and boom, my beat grid is set.

Rekordbox is putting the first grid marker in all kinds of weird places meaning I have to manually set them myself.

In the future I'd like to move away from Traktor and do everything in RB but at the moment the best option seems to be a combo of Traktor and Rekord Buddy.

@MiQ > Chances are rekordbox is trying to set it based off the first transient bass kick. If you know your tracks all start with a perfect grid from the 00:00.00 point, it's easy - put the track right at the start, and hit the "Set first beat" button (red / white bar icon) and it will grid from there.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a way to snap the play head to the 0:00:00 position ?

Snap, no, but if you have the software not set to load and cue the track to the first memory point or hot cue, it should load the track to the 0:00.00 point of the song, at which point you could set the grid's 1.1 marker.

I've got all that turned off. My problem is, after analysing the track the software is guessing where to start the beat grid from and in many cases this is way out. All tracks, when loaded, automatically snap to where the beat grid starts.

When loading a new track into Traktor it automatically starts at 0:00:00. All I do then is press a button (start grid here) and it's all done. Even if I play the track there's another button to take me back to 0:00:00.

Any way to stop RB auto gridding the track ?
