Djm2000-nxs flagship without maintenance :(

Hello,

i have djm2000, and what I am missing , is some new features. I saw the new pioneer mixer with serato features. Nice. But is it so complicated to integrate the features of serato into the touchpad?
I assigned midi control with the predefined simple buttons- thats cool , but it looks like ... Garbage. The effect pad is nice, the sampler is cool. But just imagine a nice control module with serato and it could be nice new feature for the flagship. To be honest the last firmware update was in 2013 and it is shame. Why you dont want to create the best mixer ever with some support?? Whats your opinion?

Providing critical updates to address bugs or improve performance is something Pioneer works hard to provide, but adding additional features outside the scope of the original product design can be expensive and difficult. There are not only limitations of what can be done with the hardware via software updates, but also budget and time. While it would be nice to have hardware that is continuously refreshed and updated with the latest and greatest features, resources, both within the hardware and the teams of people developing them, are finite. At some point the teams have to move forward with developing the next generation of hardware.

So why you are just not provide the open sw to Serato to do a plugin? There are the buttons predefined, just combine them and add some graphics. Hardware is ready so you will invest only into sw update and maybe sell more updated djm2000s with new feature.

The hardware is not open-source, nor is Serato as software.

The biggest thing missing is a sound card capable to use for control vinyls.. still can't believe how much this mixer cost me to not have the same sound card as the 850 or the 900nexus ..very dissapointed

You can't compare cost and features across products and expect that the top model can do everything another model can do.

Seriously that is the best answer you can come up with !! The flagship mixer should at least have a soundcard of the same standard as 850 which is about £800 cheaper. The 2000nxs needs an update to match the price, how hard can it be to update the soundcard ?

..we are still talking about a product which is an "active selling" product. That is the reason why i am wondering about the sw. updates.
