Did you remember to unzip the download file?
My XDJ RX has 1.50 firmware on it and I downloaded the 1.60 update.
I've followed the usual instructions and when prompted to load my USB device, I plug it in top left, but nothing happens. The USB prompt stays on the screen and there is no progress bar at all. I've tried leaving it for quite a while.
I have also tried re-downloading in case the file was corrupt but this made no difference. I have also tried 3 USB devices: One SanDisk, one recently formatted Corsair Survivor Stealth and a WD (FAT32 formatted) My Passport for Mac. I cannot trigger the update no matter what.
In the past I updated from 1.40 to 1.50 with no such problems.
Please advise.
Many thanks
Mark

Did you remember to unzip the download file?
yes both times. The file I'm using is a Unix Executable file - XDJRX.UPD file.
cheers

Have you possibly downloaded this file with Safari? Please try using another browser.
Pulse you are a genius. Thanks very much for the tip. Downloaded using Firefox instead and it has worked a treat. cheers Mark
I think it has something to do with Safari and the auto-unzip feature. Thanks for reporting back that it worked!
Hi. I'm trying to update the firmware of XDJ-RX and the controller wont start the update. I downloaded the file with Chrome and did it 2 times. Unzipped the file to a usb stick (format FAT) and it wont start. 2 USB sticks the same..
The firmware is from 180 -> 210
