Hot Cues remembering last song that was loaded...... strange

OK so this is a strange one.... its happened 2 or 3 times now at gigs.

I load a new track to what ever deck and sometimes instead of it auto loading all the hot cues for this new song it keeps the hot cues from the song that was last played on the deck....... if I press a hot cue it actually plays parts from the last song NOT the currently loaded song!!

luckily I found a super fast and easy way to work around this if/when it happens! just press the track back button and .. it puts the play head back to the beginning of the song and fixes the Cues to how they should be....

this happens randomly and with random songs.

@Anthony > I think this has more to do with the fact there are now several things that happen along the way...

1) You can set the player to auto-load the hot cues when the track is loaded. If this is disabled, it won't automatically call them up.

2) You can set the preference on a track to load the hot cues -- or if it's un-checked, disable it even if the preference on the player is to automatically load them.

3) If the playback on the player is not set to Auto Cue, the hot cues may not be loaded as the performance of the playback is a priority rather than buffering the hot cues.

1) auto load is always ON (who the hell turns that off? LOL)

2) I know

3) makes sense

So maybe you don't get what I'm saying..... It's a massive glitch / Total Fail here!

it happens randomly but Sometime when I'm mixing tracks kinda fast. I load a new song to a deck and I can HEAR a song that is not loaded!!!!!

Example:
Deck 1 - playing song A
Deck 2 - playing song B

I then do a sick as mix from track A into B
then on Deck 1 I load a new song(song C)
so now its:
Deck 1 - song C
Deck 2 - song B
now on Deck 1 I start messing with the cue points but I hear song A still when I hit a hot cue!!!<---- that song is no longer even loaded to the deck..!! but if I just play the song from the beginning it plays the proper song (song C in this case).

a work around if this happens is to either re load the song or just press the track back button and then the hot cue's fix them selves.

but some of my routines are very fast mash up style mixes, so I'm loading songs pretty fast and I do most of it without having the time to make sure the RX has not screwed up the hot cues, nor should I have to "double check" to make sure this thing is doing its job.... It should just work properly every time! IMO

I have had this happen, too. And I can't recall how I fixed it or if it may be a "random" issue. Pulse should be able to help!

If you have the song or deck not set to load the hot cues automatically, this will occur.

Without the new hot cues loaded, the old tracks' cues will remain in the buffer.

All of my tracks should be all set to auto... And please tell me this is a glitch??? Should it not be that as soon as u load a new track it first clears the old hot cues first? That would make a lot more sence.. New song new cue's... Why would u want the old ones still??

"Should be," but are they?

No, it shouldn't auto-load as some DJs would prefer the performance aspect of keeping certain hot cues ready to fire.

The other difference will be how you loaded the track as again, performance is prioritized.
