Hey all–
I can't help but notice when adjusting the color knob with filter (sound color FX) engaged the resonance seems to be really cranked up, producing a very "squelchy" timbre. While this isn't always a bad thing, I find that more often than not I prefer the smoother tone of the standard filter effect. The catch 22 is that I love the immediacy of the color knob...
I guess my question would be is there any way to adjust the resonance/tone of the filter with the DJM-900? If not, perhaps it could be implemented in a clever way similar to how holding the tap button while adjusting the "time" FX knob allows pin-point BPM scrolling. It could go something like this:
User presses & holds the Filter Sound Color FX button until a numeric value starts blinking on the hardware's display.
User adjusts the resonance using the "time" pot (0 = no resonance, 100=ear-bleeding self-oscillation) :-)
User presses the Filter Sound Color FX button again to apply change in resonance.
Is it possible that such an option would be available with the new Rekordbox DJ similar to how Traktor enables the user to apply different filter emulations?
Cheers.
P.S. I've also noticed that when using the Color FX Filter, the volume levels aggressively increase into the low-red/high-yellow when the DJM is set to stereo, however, when set to mono there is not as much of a dramatic increase in level gain. Any ideas? @Pulse?
