Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to explain.

I think what he is saying is.....A filter effect automatically comes on while a song is playing. It goes on and off by itself, or, while the effect is on, you can turn random knobs and the song will go back to playing "normal". 

I know this because I am having the same problem. All of my drivers and updates have been done and it is not resolving the issue. Please Help! 

Is this on the hardware itself or when used with software?

I'm getting this same problem very frequently:

In the middle of my gigs with the XDJ-RX the Gate/Comp becomes some sort of "filter" in one of the channels while still working properly on the other channel.

It has happened to both left and right channels but never the two of them at the same time. Always one working fine and the other becoming a weird kind of "filter".

If I turn the unit off and on again everything goes back to normal until it eventually happens again. Seems to be a bit random.
