DJM 900 NXS2 + Crossfader and effects

Whenever I use the crossfade and effects between 2 channels the effect full kills instead of resinating the effect when crossing from B to A or vice versa. Also, when moving off the A or B side on the crossfader in cut mode, you have to push it fader a little too far in order for the channel to bleed through. I'm not sure if a patch can fix this or not.

I also tried the same thing with another friends mixer and he suffers from the same issue. He doesn't use the crossfader much so he really doesn't care.

I just tested to verify this, and when I have a channel assigned to the crossfader (for this example, CH1 is assigned to CFA) and I either have the effects selected to CFA, CH1 or MASTER, I will have the effects tail-out when I cut out the audio by having the crossfader full-right.

Verify that you have the latest firmware installed on the mixer and you have the channel assignments set correctly for the effects and/or crossfader.

Regarding the lag length, I'm sorry -- not sure if I understand that the length between the end of crossfader movement and the first spot where audio can be heard is too short or too long?

Actually, I have noticed the same thing today when tried to execute some basic scratches, like chirps.

The distance between the Closed Crossfader, and Open Crossfader, is too big, like 1mm, it should be much less. You have to push the fader much further, until it opens, and you lose time to to this, so it's harder to make fast scratches.

Hopefully some firmware update will fix this, I guess internally it's all digitally, so it's not a problem to be fixed.

@Dimitar > Sorry, but 1mm on a mixer not designed as a scratch mixer / battle mixer is quite good. Unfortunately it's not adjustable nor will it be addressed via firmware update.

Yep, got it. I just found out that the crossfader is not the same as djm s9, which has the pro version of this fader.
