DJM850 Drivers for Windows 10 and TRAKTOR NOT WORKING

PLEASE HELP

I have been on about this for ages and NOBODY answers me ever.

I have DJM850 Mixer and the Windows 10 Drivers that you say have been verified DO NOT WORK.

They used to cause the laptop to Bluescreen....now  the laptop either blue screens and reboots randomly moaning about the DJM850 Driver....OR...Trakto has dreadful sync or Tempo random shifts.

On your website you state...DJM-850-S/DJM-850-K/DJM-850-W Driver software Verification completed Please use the latest driver software posted on the support site.

I am using those and they DO NOT WORK!

Any ideas before I sell my DJM850 as useless for TRAKTOR.

I only bought it as it was TRAKTOR CERTIFIED....which it ISNT.

PLEASE< PLEASE, PLEASE...this has been going on for over 6 months at least.

Engineers are working on the 64bit drivers, but until such time as they are released, this issue may persist as other applications are functioning without issue. Hopefully NI will correct Traktor to interface properly with our drivers.

6 DAYS with ZERO INPUT on this subject.

That is really poor.

I have the same issues.

I thought I had solved it with a Bios update but it has started again.

I don't think it is entirely Pioneers fault.

I am running the latest version of traktor on DVS and I get BSOD with Driver IRQL message within 10 minutes of running traktor.

I also use Serato DVS and its connected in exactly the same way as traktor but I have yet to have any issues with it.

I know the bsod driver irql message is always aimed at the DJM but why doesn't it crash on Serato.

can you hook up to serato DVS and test yours, get a trial version if need be just to see.

@Tim > The engineers are investigating, but as @phill notes, in most cases it seems to be isolated to Traktor use. We'll post if /when we have more detail.

is there any way we can go back to an older version of the driver? or was that it, I cant remember updating mine and I have had it for3 yrs now.

or could it be a firmware issue, I know I have updated that, can that be rolled back to check?

When I got my 850 I only ever used traktor and it was fine up until about two yrs ago which is why I started using serato. + I have an SZ but I like traktor so have still been trying to use it but only at home as either traktor or the DJM are too unreliable for live use so I stick to serato at gigs.

@Pulse. do you have a way I can revert to old drivers and firmware to test my theory please?

Have you guys considered rolling back to an older version of Traktor?

Hi guys, many thanks for your replies.

Yes I have tried rolling back to a different version of Traktor...in fact I did it to the last working version of Traktor....I would have to check the exact version for you, however it appears to make no difference now on Windows 10.

My only option is to roll laptop back to Win 8.1 (which means wiping it and reainstalling everything) and using the original Pioneer drivers as supplied, and using the 32bit version of Traktor at 7.??? something I will check.

If I use Win 10 and any version of Traktor since they went 64bit (but using 32bit .exe) then it doesnt work with your Pioneer Drivers or Firmware.

I will check the Traktor Version for you tonight, its at home.

Basically Native Instruments made a leap to 64bit way back, as soon as that version went live they issued a work around because 64bit with 32bit Pioneer Drivers sent ALL music output through to CHANNEL A on mixer didnt matter what settings you changed.

Native Instruments realised and then released a work around to use the 32bit .exe of future Software updates...so the content was updated but you could use 32bit .exe.

Things started to get a bit flaky and then Win 10 came out, which ruined everything from a Pioneer driver point of view.

Updating Win 10 to the latest build (approx 6 months after release) and reinstalling Pioneer drivers(win 8.1) helped the endless bluescren loop, but intermittent sysem lock ups and tempo issues remain.

Does that help?

Please note, I have tested this endlessly with every release of Traktor and I keep getting the same result with the Pioneer Drivers....also whenever the event log shows a crash it mentions the Pioneer Drivers are the cause.

Also interestingly enoughNative Instruments A6 interface, which is basically the same idea, e.g. soundcard USB attached to Laptop, works perfectly with the latest version of Traktor.

So....if you are still friends with Native Instruments, which I'm begiining to think, might not be the case....they might be able to advise on what might be the problem.

In the meantime I am having to wire in audio jacks and A6 soundcard as well as my lovely DJM850 just to be able to play MP3s....would be sooooo much nicer if my DJM 850 did it all, like it used to.

Then, there would be the (nice to have) 64bit versions of drivers so we could utilise 64bit Traktor on a 64bit laptop OS with 8gb of memory....however I am not moaning about that.

I am upset about the 32bit drivers that are broken.

Sorry for delay....

So the last known working installation for TRAKTOR is 32bit version 2.7.3. with the Pioneer Drivers ONLY on WIN8.1

Everything else onwards from 2.7.x is completely broken.

Does that help?
