DJM-900 NXS2 (Recording with Audacity)

Hello,

I think this question is really just looking for a status update for the following post:

https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/205583896-DJM-900-NXS2-Recording-with-Audacity

I have successfully recorded in Audacity using a DJM-900 NXS1.  I recently purchased a DJM-900 NSX2 and input the same settings in the NXS2 utility as I used in the NXS1 utility (the only exception being the addition of CH 9/10, which does not exist in the NXS1 utility), but now I do not get a signal in Audacity.  See below for pictures of my settings (and note that I tried setting the input level to -10db and -5db, which did not solve the issue).  I assume that the setting for CH 9/10 in the NXS2 utility does not matter, but please let me know if I'm wrong.  I am running a 64bit version of Windows 10 (the same operating system that I was running when I successfully recorded in Audacity using my NXS1).  Can you confirm that the problem is that the NXS2 still does not support operating in a 64bit operating system?  If so, (i) when will that be fixed, and (ii) is there any software that I can use to record from my NXS2 in my version of Windows?  Thanks for your help.

Best,

Matt

@Omni > A few things....

1.  I know it can be frustrating to experience these issues but please do not create a new thread if you are experiencing the same issues that are listed in an existing thread (the one you linked to).  You can just add your comments to that thread.

2.  The reason you are experiencing issues is also listed in the original topic.  There are no 64-bit drivers for the 900NXS2.  There is currently no timetable for when we will have 64 bit drivers.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I believe you have to use software that is 32-bit. If Audacity has a 32-bit version of the software, download and and give it a try.

Also, DELETE the last screenshot of your Windows information. You have some info on there that you really don't want online.

Thanks for you response, lostnthesound.  I believe there is only one version of Audacity for Windows, which is 32 bit, so that is what I'm currently using.  One thing I forgot to note above - in the Audacity screenshots above, you can see that Audacity is at least partially recognizing that my NXS2 is the selected recording device, as it is featured in the "Line In" dropdown box.

Based on the answer from the previous post (mentioned in your first post in this thread) it sounds like you're going to have to wait for the 64-bit Windows 10 drivers to release. :-(

Yes, I think that's probably right.  Just hoping to get a response from Pulse or another Pioneer rep who can confirm that in light of the specific details I provided above.  It's been almost 5 months since that previous post was answered, so I would think they would have this sorted our by now if it's just a driver issue.  If that is in fact what the problem is, it would be great to know when the drivers will be available/what the holdup is.  Was looking forward to recording a set last weekend on my shiny, new, expensive gear and was left pretty frustrated :-/
