Hey bud, do you mind sharing the rest of your set up, because usually if you connect your CDJs with LAN cable, the moment you move the pitch on the CDJ, the BPM on the mixer moves in tandem with no lag.

FolgenDJM 900nxs2 Auto BPM Detection struggles... a lot.
Is anyone else having problems with the 900nxs2 Auto BPM Detection having trouble figuring out the BPM of most tracks that aren't a very simple house track?
The DJM 800 seemed to figure out these tracks quicker and correctly. The 900nxs2 often tries and tries on tracks that the 800 would have got in 4 seconds. And then it often chooses double the BPM (180 instead of 90bpm.) Is there a simple halving/doubling BPM trick that I don't know about?
I love the new control over the Beat FX section but have found the BPM Detection sub par.

Also, did the djm800's Auto BPM Detection grab it's signal from the Master-channel?
Could there be a way of implementing that on the 900nxs2? It just seemed to work better. How often do you want the echo to be a different bpm than what's playing through the speakers? (I get why Pio would want to try detect a single channels signal as opposed to a mix inside the Master but the djm800 did it admirably)

I'm normally on a Serato Vinyl DVS set-up but I'm having BPM detection issues with any source I plug in. I also have cdj800's, so no cdj's with LAN cables unfortunately. The issue is the mixer having to figure out the bpm via sound input.
I experimented with playing mp3's from a line jack just to make sure it wasn't any wow & flutter causing the issue and it still had the same problem trying to detect/lock-in the bpm.
Thanks
@Lindsay > I find it takes around 4 seconds to detect the audio when the beat is strong and consistent, and up to 10-15 seconds if the track has a weak beat, isn't 4/4 or varies slightly in timing. Are you selecting the channel or the master on the FX section? Ensure that the channel you want to effect has the BEAT FX LED illuminated.
Hey Pulse,
I normally use Crossfader A or B as my chosen channels for Beat FX assignment. Yes, I'm aware that I need to have the Beat FX assigned to the channel that I want the bpm detected of.
I rarely remember waiting for the BPM detection to figure out the bpm on the DJM800. I feel like I can't trust the auto detection to be there in time and may have to rely more on manual TAP detection which is a bit of a shame.
Is it my imagination that the 800 did a better job?
Probably - I used the DJM-800 for many years myself and it was good, but I don't find the 900NXS2 to be any less capable of detecting the beat... plus when using the rekordbox beatgrid over the ProDJ Link, it's instant!
I'm using the ProDJ Link, but I'm still having issues with the BPM detection as well. Maybe a bad LAN cable?
