DDJ RZ Hot cue Button double click Censor feature

Hello,

When I double press the Hot Cue button on the Rz, I get a censor feature in Rekordbox that I have control over.  Is there a place in the manual that talks about this?  This is a really cool feature.

I'll toy with it more once I get my RZ and other issues resolved.

Thanks.

Is there away to change the assignment of the act censor when double clicking the hot cue button?  I'd like to assign it to a different pad effect (Memory Cue)?  Hoping for a yes.

@Angel > Yep:

...but when performing the LEARN for it, you'll be warned that the pad mode is in use by the MEMORY CUE, so you'll need to unassign it from that function first.

Thank you pulse. How do I access that menu to perform the reassignment.

What I want is to hit the hot cue button twice and have memory cues show up on the pads instead of the act censor.

@Angel > It doens't recognize a "double press" so that wouldn't work, sorry.

You access that screen through the MIDI button at the top right of rekordbox.

It’s ok. Thought since double pressing hot cue button brings up act censor we could just change it to bring up something else we choose. I’ll just see how I can intergrate the act censor since it’s there. Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah, some of the default mappings include a double-press (eg. instant-doubles), but users aren't currently able to map double-presses of MIDI buttons to other functions within the MIDI mapper. Sorry!
