CDJ2000-NXS2 Traktor 2.11 (Beta) HID Support

Just as the title indicates, for those of you who have been awaiting for Traktor HID support for the DJM-2000NXS2, your prayers have been answered:

Pioneer CDJ-2000 NXS2 HID Integration
TRAKTOR now fully supports up to four Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 Players automatically mapped to the main deck controls via HID.

I can confirm that it works great. I haven't experienced any issues (yet). That said, as before with Traktor HID, there are no scrolling waveforms on the CDJ hardware, just the static overview.

Personally, I will be sticking to RekordBox and using my setup with an external SDD. However, I at least wanted to take part in the Traktor HID Beta to put it through its paces and report back to this forum to let everyone know that it's real and it's coming

The Final Build of release candidate 2.11 is currently undergoing testing. If you're interested in participating, head to the NI Forums' Traktor thread to see if they're still accepting Public Beta testers.

Otherwise, hang in there just a bit longer.

MODS: If this post goes against the rules, please delete or move to the appropriate thread.

Cheers.

can also confirm it works.

however,

theres always been a problem taking over from a DJ thats using the CDJ Aggregator tool, for example the next DJ loading a song off a USB on one of the players.

The new Pioneer Aggregator with this new update behaves differently. In the past if you tried to load a song from a USB on an aggregated deck, it would not work, however now it will work, but your Traktor sound will stop for about 3-4 seconds, making it fairly useless. So DJs, if you use the aggregator, be careful of this!

Good to know. I've actually been using a single audio interface (DJM NXS2) with the CDJ's acting as only controllers and didn't know about the changeover issue. Thanks for sharing.

with the DJM audio interface theres no issues changing over as its independent. Its good to have the Aggregator as a last resort if you turn up and theres an older mixer without one / your own interface stops working / if you are the only DJ on that night / theres more than 2 CDJs. So yeah, avoid where possible, but get to know how it works if you ever need it.

Well said—no one wants to be that guy/girl who brings a music to a screeching halt. :-)
