XDJ RX Intermittent not recognising USB is Rekordbox

Hi all.. my first post to the forum.

I am new XDJ RX owner and I have to say I love it. However, I keep encountering a problem.

I have a music collection analysed and prepared in Rekordbox and then exported to a USB stick.

I then play from the USB stick on the XDJ RX. Most of the time with no problem. I have beat grid, key info, sync works, all is good. Then for some reason, when I select a new track the unit warns me that "Rekordbox track analysis required for sync feature". and from that point any file I select comes up like this. It is like the XDJ RX no longer recognises the USB and being prepared in Rekordbok. It will still play the files but I have lost all the Rekorbox benefits.

Normal service is resummed with a reboot of the XDJ RX or removing and reinserting the USB stick.

Any track that fails to play as a Rekorbox track will play correctly after a reboot or reinserting the USB stick.

It happens on both USB ports of the XDJ.

Any ideas anyone?

P

Do you always have turned on sync button?? If yes i think you have to move it somehow close to track's bpm. I don't use sync button but sometimes when i press it I see this message even if all of my tracks are analysed. So if you slide pitch i think you ll have a solution. Hope that this works

Hi thank you for taking the time to reply.

I do use Sync occasionally but I dont think this is the problem. I must confess I changed my USB stick and I have not had the problem since. So, fingers crossed that is the root cause.

And I also upgraded the firmware from v1.8 to the latest. Either way it has played nicely ever since.

Awesome machine.

Yup, bad USBs are often a source of the problem. Glad to hear you've got things working smoothly again.
