Because VDJ only needs to update their software. They don't make hardware.
Aside from updating Rekordbox, Pioneer DJ needs to test all the hardware that is used with Rekordbox because they're also/mainly a hardware company.
At the same time they need to test all the hardware that works with Serato and other DJ programs that have official support. So everything can go out in one big wave, rather than 10 small ones.
One would never want to update right away because there might still be issues. That is what professionals with a lot of responsibility do.
