yes this is not good, i added a few playlists and now the export time is twice as long, i did an A/B comparison from 6.8 to 6.8.1 and a playlist with 900 or so tracks took 8 minute on 6.8 doing Device Lib Plus ONLY and then 16 minute using 6.8.1, needless to say i will be going back to 6.8

Hi Yves, I read all of the FAQ on this new feature, and kept searching for more info because I couldn't believe what I was reading.

You are forcing millions of DJs around the world to add a new, second library to their USB sticks, just so that they can use your new Opus Quad device. It's ridiculous, I couldn't find a single explanation for *what* this new library format even does (outside of some long term reliability - and even that is not detailed at all): New features? Dramatically improved performance? Doesn't seem like it.

The only way forward here, in my opinion, is a new firmware update for Opus Quad that makes it compatible with the current regular library everyone in the world is currently using. And then rethink this double library thing because it's just such an ugly design decision, it just makes rekordbox even more complicated and weird.

Or second option, move everyone to device library Plus and figure out a way to make that compatible with all older hardware without a new firmware update for those devices, because for sure all venues in the world are not going to update all of their gear.

Question: is USB export time doubled every time or just during the initial time when the second library is first created on a USB?  

Every export I tried on 6.8.1 hanged at 48%, maybe due to 256GB USB. Reverted back to 6.8.0 and no issues. Will be avoiding 6.8.1 for sure.

thank god i didn't upgrade, maybe this should be made a sticky until it has been patched. 

Mine freezes completely. Why in the actual fuck wouldn't this be a check box for a very small subset of users with an Opus Quad?
