Rekordbox: Memory & Hot Cue Editing

In the Memory box, we left click to add text and change the colour.

In Hot Cue, we have to right click and then choose the option to Add Comment or change the colour. If I want to do both, it takes an extra click.

Making these the same would be much easier

Thanks

Has anyone else found the difference in editing Memory cues versus Hot Cues in Rekordbox inefficient? Would you support a feature update to make Hot Cue editing (e.g., adding comments and changing colors) as streamlined as Memory cue editing, like using a single left-click to access both options?

Do you find this has a big impact on your set preparation process? For me, every extra step when preparing dozens of tracks is an unnecessary waste of time – do you have any "workaround" solutions to temporarily optimize?

@Amora Pooter Yes, I’ve definitely noticed that too. Editing Memory Cues feels much more intuitive and faster compared to Hot Cues, especially when it comes to adding comments or changing colors. Having a unified editing method—like a single left-click to access both options—would really improve workflow. I’d absolutely support a feature update like that. It’s a small tweak but could make a big difference in usability.

Hey everyone! I really appreciate the insights on hot cue editing—super helpful for my sets. I'm curious, how do you all manage your memory cues during a live performance? Do you have any tips for staying organized on the fly?
