The SanDisk drive is likely the culprit. The CDJ-850 doesn't have a limit on the size of the drive you can use. However it does have the following limitations:
Hi all,
Had a funny incident when I pitched up at a club which has two CDJ850 players.
My one flashdrive worked perfectly, and the other one did not load.
I am attaching screenshots of the info of both drives from Disk Utility on OSX.
- Both Rekordboxed and work perfectly on CDJ2000NXS's/XDJ-RX
- Both are 128Gb (funny enough their formatted capacities differ)
- The one is a Kingston HyperX 128Gb USB3 (ARRIES 128 in the pic)
- The other one (which did not want to work, ARMAND V in the pic) is a SanDisk 128Gb Extreme Pro USB3
I have now purchased two 32Gb flashdrives to use as I am afraid they might be to big in capacity for the old CDJ850's? Just weird that one worked perfectly (Although slow loading at times on the CDJ850)
What could be the reason?
Regards,
Armand
