I have the same sort of issue with a djm2000 so your not alone, there is a setting within the rekordbox config that asks internal or external mixer, you can change this whilst disconnected but not while connected and up and running, the moment you reconnect it automatically selects external and will not autoplay. I feel your pain, I had to wait 3 hours to pee the other night !!
