Bundled License Key is Too Long

Are you using the license key from the sticker on the unit itself or the sticker on the black rekordbox dj card?

The licenses key on the unit itself is not the rekordbox license; you need to use the key on the black card included within the product packaging.

i have no card as i have bought the controller second hand and thought it was included

failing that, i have downloaded the demo version for 30 day trial to see if i want to purchase the license, but it fails to communicate with the controller coming back with error 33 perfomance mode not available....help?

Unfortunately the license key for rekordbox is not tied to the hardware, so a user may opt to keep the license and sell the hardware separately. As many DJs use other software (eg. djay or Virtual DJ) with their controller, some are just as happy not to have it or to purchase a rekordbox license... totally up to you.

Yes, you should be able to use performance mode in the 30 day free trial, but the error may have occurred due to a change in your system clock (I hope it wasn't thanks to daylight saving), but I'll direct you to please file an inquiry ticket here and our rekordbox support team will provide you with a tool to fix that issue.

i just bought DJM 250MK2..i just got it today but the black card with the key is not included in the box..it's brand new..the packaging is not yet opened when i got it..so how can i get a license key for rekordbox without using hardware unlock...i dont want to use rekordbox version 6
