That's perfectly normal operation of the jog. If you want to be able to move it, either put the deck in the "pause" state (by pressing play/pause twice), or enabling vinyl mode.
Hi!
This happens when I select the CDJ mode.
If the track is in PAUSE I can scratch or move back and forth the track as usual.
The same if the track is in a HOT CUE point.
Why I can't do the same when the track is in the CUE point?
For example, if I take a wrong CUE point and I need to move on the track to take it again, why I need to Play/Pause before move on the track?
(Auto cue is disabled on all the decks)
Thank you!

Ok, sorry I didn't know it.
Thanks for the answer!
Did that work for you? I know some users are having a bit of frustration in this change, but it's just a matter of getting accustomed to the new mode of operation which standardizes the process across all products.
I'm now using always the vinyl mode, so I don't have this problem anymore.
Hello, this is very similar to what happened to me at a gig last night on a new laptop. I did a fresh install of everything on a 2nd hand laptop and updated to the latest version of rekordbox. First it was on windows 1709 since this was the build that didnt get any sound glitches on my other windows laptop. But when I tested it with my DDJ1000 it had the glitches! So I updated to the latest windows version (1903) and all the other updates to date and the sound glitches were gone. But since I held up on updating RB on my older laptop I have never experienced this 'glitch' before.
So at a gig last night it started, I must've pressed something during cocktails and whenever I would load a new song, I could not seem to cue it up to where I wanted using the jog wheel. As soon as I got my hands off from the wheel to set a cue point, the needle would jump back to where it wanted to, at the start of the song file, not even on the first transient, it jumps back to parts where there is silence. I'm guessing I somehow changed it to CDJ mode because I've stumbled upon this thread searching for answers during the gig. The press play then pause trick fixed it for me but it was very annoying as I was used to just loading up a song and without pressing play or pause yet, I would just use the jog wheel to cue up things. And as I understand it, CDJ mode will not let you scratch, but I could still scratch, just not cue before pressing play/pause!
Do I need to roll back my RB version to the same one on my other laptop? Or is there a setting I am missing? Where do I find the CDJ/Vinyl mode switch? Is it on the DDJ1000 or in software?
OMG I figured it out! All I did was to uncheck the controller settings > deck > jog > after turning on the cue button and spinning the jog, the track returns to the cue point and pause. It was checked by default upon installing the latest version.
Annoying :-(
