Rekordbox 5.2.0 sync button not working on ddj-rb controller

So I updated to the latest version to find my sync button no longer works. This was very frustrating as I have spent a long time grinding my sets. So this got me thinking it might be a setting I had wrong. Spent some time playing with the settings to no real solution. After this I looked in my downloads and realised I had a much older version in there. I went ahead and hay presto my sync was back fully working but my new problem some of the new effects had gone back to the old settings like flange ECT not as good as I had on my newer 5.0.1. So this is when I decided to go to the Archive on Pioneer and see if I could download the older version and I have. So not my effects are back to how I like them and my sync is also working. I then thought maybe the 5.2.0 must have not installed properly so I updated again. And my sync stopped working again. I then went back to 5.0.1 and all is good again. BUT I have to say all this was quite stressful and has now put me off updating in future. Pioneer pls reinstall my faith in you ❤

Can you tell me what you're doing and how the sync isn't working? I've tested it and it works as expected on my end.

When I update to the new 5.2.0.
I put on the next track and press the Sync button it lights up and turns on the Sync on the software but it doesn't change the tempo to match the track that is playing. So it's pointless. When I role back to 5.0.1 it syncs the tempos again.

Is the other deck set to MASTER and SYNC when you press the SYNC button on the new track?

Right that's what the problem was. All previous versions of Rekordbox automatically turned the first loaded deck into the Master but when I installed this version neither deck turned into the Master straight away I had to turn it on manually. But it's all working now thanks for the help 😉

My sync button on the 2nd deck ain't syncing and lighting up when I push it .The sync button on the 1st deck is good. What seems to be the problem with it? I'm using Rekordbox DJ 5.4 and DDJ-RB Controller.

Hey! I don't seem to be able to phrase sync my tracks - I am holding down the shift botton and pressing phrase sync but nothing is happening - any tips? The button itself is lighting up

In order to sync, the song must first have a beat grid. One deck should be set as the MASTER and the others can then be synchronized to that deck. In the preferences, make sure you have it set to BEAT not BPM:
