DDJ-WeGo4 no master output

 Hi,

I've recently purchased the DDJ-WeGo4 controller and have installed the rekordbox software. The problem I'm having is that I cannot get any sound through the main speakers (master out), only through my laptop speakers and headphones. The master out graphic in rekordbox does not respond when I turn the master level knob. I have tried reinstalling both the driver and rekordbox but the issue remains. I have the same problem in Virtual DJ.

Laptop runs Windows 10 with Intel i7 2.5GHz processor, 8GB RAM.

I have seen several other posts regarding similar issues for different controllers, so it sounds as though this is a common problem but there seems to be no definite answer on how to solve it.

In Audio Settings, I have

Audio : DDJ_WeGO4 ASIO

Sample rate : 48000Hz

Buffer size : 256 samples

Input Record : Master Out

Input Deck 1 : DDJ_WeGO4 ASIO : CH1/2

Input Deck 2 : DDJ_WeGO4 ASIO : CH1/2

Master Output : DDJ_WeGO4 ASIO : MASTER

Can anybody help point me in the right direction please? I've spent hours tweaking and fiddling with settings to no avail and am at a bit of a dead end now. I can only think there is a problem with the Windows driver but it's the latest one from the Pioneer website.

The master knob within rekordbox won't necessarily reflect the position of the master knob of the hardware controller, so don't think just because it's not moving the controller isn't working. :)

I'll direct you to follow the troubleshooting steps in this article; while written for the DDJ-R series controllers, it will still apply to the WeGO as well. Please try those steps to verify the WeGO is detected by the system, as well as to reinstall the drivers.

If that doesn't work, let us know and we'll try something else.

Pulse, thanks for the response. I got to the bottom of it eventually, it was a problem with my amp. I'm sure it was OK last time I used it but that was quite a while ago, it's quite an old piece of kit! Anyhow, up and running now. I was having problems with the driver originally and just assumed it was a continuation of this. But once I was able to set up the audio as shown above, the controller and Rekordbox were in sync and all outputs working as expected. For anyone having similar problems, the first step would be to reinstall the driver and make sure it is the latest and greatest for your controller from the Pioneer site as described in the link within Pulse's reply above. One other thing I noticed during troubleshooting is that there is a "Pioneer MIX 64 bit driver" which doesn't seem to uninstall through Apps and Features. I don't know if this is a Windows 10 issue or a problem with the driver itself and I was able to install the WeGo4 driver as well so it isn't causing any problems, just seems a bit odd.

Interesting -- I'll note that, thanks for writing back, glad to hear you got it working.
