Rekordbox 5.2.2 Sound Problem in Performance Mode with XD-RX2
Hallo!
when i play in performance mode the sound ist cracky...sometimes more, sometimes less... but only in performance mode!
playing with usb sticks / usb - no cracks
playing link mode rekordbox- no cracks
sounddriver new installed, midi setup new installed
tried with power connection, tried with accu...no difference
all cable connections double checked, tried with diffenrend tracks
my harware setup:
xdj-rx2 fw 1.3
Macbook pro 2017 i7 3,5 ghz, sierra 10.13.4

If you were to change that setting to the highest value possible, do the crackles still occur? I know you will suffer a massive performance hit in terms of response from pressing a button to sound reaction, I'm just wanting to determine if the problem is, in fact, the latency setting or something else.

Ahh -- something I just noticed, you're using 10.13.4; there was something about the .4 update that has some audio devices misbehaving, and many in the industry are warning against updating to it for now.
My recommendation for the time being would be to find the lowest possible value for that buffer were audio drop-outs / crackling does not occur. Once there's a fix / OS update to resolve it, maybe then you'll be able to lower it, because your computer should certainly be powerful enough to handle a latency setting of 256 frames.
