serato software and windows 10 running of a Dell computer
Which version of Serato DJ - Pro or Lite (and version number please)?
Serato dj lite version 1.0.4
Many computers don't provide adequate power to the devices connected by USB and as a result, issues like this can occur. In order to troubleshoot and test to make sure it's not the DDJ itself, can you please try testing by connecting the SB to a different USB port, a powered USB hub, or even a different computer?
Hi, I'm having the same issue with my ddj sb3 with virtual dj pro on a windows 11 HP laptop. I know it is not the DDJ itself because I troubleshooted it so do you know if there is anything I can do with my laptop to fix the USB power issue? Thanks

What did you do to troubleshoot?
I tried using my other USB ports and it still didn't work. I also tried using another laptop which did work.
Ah - if it works with another computer, that could indicate that your computer isn't providing adequate power over the USB ports. Have you considered using a powered USB hub to see if that resolves the issue?
I just started looking for one, are there any in particular that you suggest? Thanks
So long as it doesn't have a VIA chipset inside, any are good. Personally, I prefer the Anker brand products and haven't had any issues when using them with PDJ products.
I tried using a powered USB hub but that still didn't fix it unfortunately. It still puts out about half power to either deck after about 5 minutes of playing. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks
Sounds like it would need servicing - you can contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired, but I'm going out on a limb to say that the servicing will be at least 50% of the cost of a new one.
