Rekordbox and Time machine

Looking for a step by step non confusing way to transfer collections to a new computer.

Once I back up time machine to external, and transfer to a new computer and I open Rekordbox I make the assumption to put my key in to activate.

Will time machine back up all my data and collection music files and return them as they were? If not, do I back up library to external, or do I back up library and data in the advanced column in preferences to external? I honestly wish there was a button that backed them up all in one and a button to restore all in one and thats it. The tutorials are confusing showing several ways including moving folders which should be unnecessary being I'm using time machine. If I can just get some info for a back up if I have time machine and how thats done.Along with a simple restore everything.

Much appreciation

The recommended transfer is to create an export from rekordbox on your old machine (include the music if that makes sense for how you're transferring things), and then on the new machine, restore it.

You can try using the Time Machine method (or the migration method), but if you happen to be using a different user name on the new computer, that will most certainly break things as the paths to the settings files and database entries are all absolute paths, not relative ones.
