Rekordbox NOT reading iTunes Sub Folders

I Have researched here and found topics about this issue since 2014, but apparently haven't been solved yet? I will try again, since I haven`t found the properly solution.

I Have sorted my playlists in iTunes by folders: for example Folder "Electronic Music" and than the sub playlists "House" "Alternative" "Tropical" etc. I have also playlists that are not arranged in folders, for example "JOE`s party".

In Rekordbox, after refreshing the icon of iTunes, I can see under the section Playlists all the folders and the playlists that are not in folders. But I can`t see the sub playlists inside the Folders. It looks like the folder is empty.

So if I go to all music in iTunes tree of Rekorbox I can see everything there, load and play all files. I can also see musics inside the playlists like JOE`S PARTY. But I can`t see the playlists that are sorted inside the folders.

General Informations:

- The option "share iTunes with other apps" is checked ok in iTunes Preferences.

- The iTunes xml file is pointed correctly in Rekordbox Preferences.

- I have already clicked several times on "refresh" button of iTunes tree

- Rekordbox version 5.3.0

-  version 12.7.4.80

Thanks!

Could you please try updating iTunes first? It's now at version 12.8.x.

I've had the exact same issue, turned out if you enable the SyncManager in Rekordbox for the entire iTunes collection it's fixed. That also saves the "import folder to collection" step I used to perform and the SyncManager can sync directly from the iTunes tree to USB as well.

So basically my Rekordbox playlists/fodlers stay (almost) empty and everything is under the iTunes tree.

BTW your iTunes version is fine, I'm on 11.4 (I don't like 12) on HighSierra with Rekordbox 5.3 no issues at all. Rekordbox reads the iTunes.XML, not the iTunes database so the whole procedure should be pretty much version transparant (unless the iTunes version you used had bugs writing the xml, none of those bugs are known to me).

Now I`ve got it fixed MixMasterG. Using the Sync Manager seems to solve this problem.

Thanks!!
