I'm reopening a new ticket for this unsolved issue since months.
Older posts was closed but driver is not update at this time and the problem is still here.

Thanks in advance to inform us, in May Pionneer's engineers began to work on drivers' update but no news since May.
No, updating to 10.14 would not fix the problem and we are currently advising users against upgrading at this time.
As for the touchbar issue, I looked at the internal ticket (this isn't a ticket, it's a forum post), and the last status I have is that they were working on a solution. I've asked for a follow-up but don't have any other details at this time.

I am curious how the work on the driver is going too. MacOS 10.14 Mojave did not solve the problem and my computer still crashes when unplugging the DJM 900 NXS2.

This feels like Christmas, only that you do not know when and if it might arrive ;0) But seriously I hope the software engineers figured out a way to get it stable.
