Have you tried creating an aggregate device of the inputs and outputs?
I have updated my DJM 2000 Nexus Mixer to the new update (3.21) ; my Rekordbox utilizes all four channels digitally ( with computer software), however, now I cannot get audio output at all when I switch to Digital/CD in channel four- not with USBs, not with Audio CDs!!!- I have checked and then double checked the Master Att and still no sound outputIII I have also changed wires and the work in all other channels-I believe this is a programming flaw made by the Engineering, since this was no an issue previously ( I also believe it was Pioneer's way of covering up the disaster of incorrectly updating the utilities settings which now disputes the specs of the devices noted on their own page- which they conveniently remove from the current products:
Terminals
Inputs
1 MIC (XLR/Jack Combo)
2 PHONO (RCA)
4 S/PDIF Digital (RCA)
6 CD/LINE (RCA)
Send/Return
2 SEND (1/4 inch Jack)
2 RETURN (1/4 inch Jack)
LAN
6
USB
1 USB B port
Outputs
1 BOOTH (1/4 inch Jack)
1 HEADPHONE MONITOR (1/4 inch Jack)
1 REC (RCA)
1 S/PDIF Digital (RCA)
2 CONTROL (Mini-jack)
2 MASTER (XLR, RCA)
The new utilities setting now only show the following:
4 inputs 0 outputs
3 inputs 1 outputs
Pioneer's explanation was its always been that way yet I supplied them with Posts from their own forum in 2016 which CLEARLY showed that its was able to record in rekordbox properly using 4 inputs and 1 output - in fact, the post had a step by step procedure to make this possible in rekordbox which I also submitted to them, which they could not explain- I love Pioneer products, but lets get this together as I love this mixer, but pioneer seems to be taking away many of the feature of why I purchased this mixer, the djm 900nxs2 is not even close except for having 2 usb ( I use the cat 5/computer connections (which there are 4) and even in the utilities setting- they show 4 inputs and a 1 output which is listed as rec out!! they even admit they used the DJM2000/nexus as the core model design for the 900nexus 2- and yet it was still considered the flagship mixer until 1.5 years ago today and was still charging the list ing of 2499 compared to the 1999 for the djm900nxs2- Pioneer , just admit to the mistake with the utilities/firmware on the DJM2000/nexus- fix it back to the correct specs and keep your loyal customers happy

Have you tried creating an aggregate device of the inputs and outputs?
Why should I do that when your engineering people created this mess? You guys previous had answered this same question in a post in 2016; I have to ask, what was the purpose of making a 4 channel mixer and you are only allowed to use 3?( at least that's what your rep Luanna stated, even though product specs clear indicate 4 analog, 4 digital, in addition to 4 cat lines for pro link) Before this UPGRADE in both the firmware and rekordbox, this was not an issue, and this mixer was(and still) the beast of mixers, all my clients want to use it in mybrentals when I show them all it can do, I even sent you techs videos of previous versions of rekordbox where I was able to play and record with all 4 channels.
Sorry, but I believe you're mistaken. Even if you look at the specifications page for the product, as captured in the Wayback Machine archive from March 31st of 2016, the listing shows "4 outputs / 1 input" but it doesn't say they're available simultaneously.
I've been trying to source a DJM-2000NXS locally to confirm it myself, but I am 99.9% certain that it has always been this way.
This is the product Soec, directly from the manual and your Pioneer Website( you guys actually removed it from the Pioneerdj.com site lol) and the manual that I have that came with the mixer at purchase:
Inputs
1 MIC (XLR/Jack Combo)
2 PHONO (RCA)
4 S/PDIF Digital (RCA)
6 CD/LINE (RCA)
Send/Return
2 SEND (1/4 inch Jack)
2 RETURN (1/4 inch Jack)
LAN
6
USB
1 USB B port
Outputs
1 BOOTH (1/4 inch Jack)
1 HEADPHONE MONITOR (1/4 inch Jack)
1 REC (RCA)
1 S/PDIF Digital (RCA)
2 CONTROL (Mini-jack)
2 MASTER (XLR, RCA)
Now I believe you have to agree that this CLEARLY SHOWS A TOTAL OF 12 INPUTS (2 PHONO/ 4 DIGITAL/ 6 CD OR LINE) AND 8 OUTPUTS( 1 DIGITAL/ 1 BOOTH/ 1 HEADPHONE/ 1 RCA REC/ 2 MINI JACK/ 2 MASTER) ALONG WITH 6 LAN. IN ADDITION, PIONEER DJ PULSE POSTED THIS POST WHERE YOU SPECIFIED AND GAVE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCION ON NOT ONLY RECORD ALL FOUR CHANNELS, BUT HOW TO DO IT IN THE UTILITIES, INCLUDING HOW TO NAVIGATE THRU THE TABE( THAT NO LONGER EXIST IN THE CURRENT Utilities display) and this post specifically state for use with the DJM 2000 AND NXS MODELS, SO PLEASE TELL ME HOW I AM MISTAKEN AGAIN? I GUES MY VIDEOS FORM 2-3 YEARS AGO SHOWING ME USING AND RECORDING USING ALL 4 CHANNELS WAS NOT ENOUGH. HERE IS THE URL OF THE POST- SO I WONDER WHY HERE YOU SAY AND SHOW HOW TO RECORD ALL 4 CHANNELS, AND YEARS LATER, STATE IT NEVER EXISTED, MAKES YOU WONDER( MY APOLOGIES FOR CAPS)

Recording a mix in rekordbox 4.x with a DJM (Windows)

Here are step-by-step instructions for recording a mix in rekordbox with a DJM running under Windows 7/8/10. These instructions mainly deal with the DJM2000/900/850/750 (incl. SRT and NXS editions), but apply somewhat to the DJM-2000 (original) as well.
With rekordbox closed and the DJM disconnected, first ensure that you are running the latest version of rekordbox, and that you have installed the current DJM drivers
Once you have the DJM drivers installed, reboot your computer
After the computer restarts, connect your DJM via USB DIRECTLY to the computer; do not use a USB hub
Open the start menu, go to the Pioneer > DJM-### Setting Utility
Click the MIXER OUTPUT tab and change USB7/8 to MIX(REC OUT)
Change the USB Output Level to -10dB
Close the Setting Utility and launch rekordbox
In rekordbox, open the Preferences and click the Audio icon
Check that the device listed in the Audio box is PIONEER DJM-### ASIO
In the Input channels box, select Channel 4
Click the Controllers icon
Click the Others tab
Check the location of your Recordings; if you need to, change it to somewhere you can easily find the files, such as your desktop
Close the Preferences window
Click the REC button to show the recording panel
Load a track to deck 1, press play
Adjust the TRIM on channel 1 on the DJM so the levels peak around 0dB
You should now see the recording meter bouncing around, but not pinned in the red; you can adjust the recording level within rekordbox if you're worried the signal is too high and will clip during recording
Press the REC button to start recording
When you are done, press the REC button again and it will stop the recording, you will see a notice that the recording has been added to the Recordings branch of the tree
That's it!
Now with all this info, should we believe what you wrote in SEPTEMBER of 2016 at 13:06 or in 2018 were your engineering staff stated this thread never existed? By the way, I and many other used this thread in 2016 and recorded all four channels to record successfully successfully
First, that recording guide which you quoted was written by me, as a generic guide for DJMs, and as our support team noted in the ticket (at my guidance), it is NOT specific to the DJM-2000 due to the configuration of the audio interfaces which is EXACTLY why it says:
"...but apply somewhat to the DJM-2000 (original) as well."
SOMEWHAT, and note it doesn't state "DJM-2000NXS" anywhere.
Yes, the product specs list all of the inputs and outputs; nowhere does it say you can use them all SIMULTANEOUSLY.
Again, I'm trying to source a DJM-2000NXS locally to give you the definitive answer on this, so your patience is appreciated.
Any update on locating and using previous firmware and versions of Rekordbox regarding this issues
It has now been over 45days regarding this matter and over 30 sin e last I heard from a support who clearly stated they were obtaining this product to run the issues- it looks like pioneer dj has distanced themselves from pioneer so the can now mistreat and falsely support their products - since my post , there has been other ha ing issues since firmware and rekordbox updates- A Great Company stands behind their products and admits errors, I guess Pioneer DJ is no longer that company, I once swore by for quality. Their customer support has even become so bad that you dont even get to talk to an actual tech, but a CSR who sends your ticket to a help desk, and you are lu k to get a call back.
Okay, so here's where we're at...
I finally got ahold of a DJM-2000NXS while at the Pioneer DJ Americas office before the recent NAMM Show, and I can confirm that the drivers only allow for 6-in/2-out or 8-in/0-out configuration, and have never offered an option for all 8 inputs and any inputs.
Clearly there is some misunderstanding or difference in configuration that you were using, but we did not remove functionality of the mixer either through firmware or drivers.
Our support team did provide you the same answer I'm giving you today, and they had gone as far as to confirm this information with our engineering team, so please don't discredit their efforts to try and assist you.
FYI, I am neither discrediting or calling out your teams-I am merely stating UNDISPUTED FACTS! I did not advertise for several years of it entry into your products that the DJM 2000Nexus Mixer had the specifications that are clearly noted, I did not years later state that what was printed about DJM2000nx is capable of is now incorrect in 2018, I did not state that a CLEARLY Visual 4 Channels mixer is only an actual functional 3 Channels, I did not state that there were no changes to utilities, when in fact your staff had noted and confirmed that the at one point there was only ONE utilities setting for ALL OF THE DJM ON RECORD and recently changed it to specify the distinct features of each DJM- or how up until 2019- your company previous no longer even posted the DJM 2000 or 2000nxs as product and could only be found on the Pioneer Electronics page and not Pioneer DJ. I am also noticed that you mentioned receiving a DJM2000nxs during the 2019 NAIMM when it was in Ca, yet I don't know if it with purpose or neglect that you did not mention what firmware or rekordbox version used.
I also noticed that you did not address the firmware issue regarding that now the 4th channel is not active in usb/line put it is on all other channels when using the usb function (Flashdrives or Harddrives use) which your team also confirmed was an issue- I have acquired and still acquiring all the versions of rekordbox that will clearly show everything I stated has been 1000% true and maybe your team should doing a little further inquiry into the information being put out- I also have recorded calls from various support people in your organization in the Ca Office, where i was told a person had never worked there even though I had a their name, #, and extension, only to get a phone call from that very person an hour later- when I informed them that I was told they no longer worked there- they laugh and when I told them the name of the person- it was a false name. I have clearly been patient, but to be lied to, mistreated and non returned of call- is just poor business and customer support- i am still waiting for the return call from over a dozen request to your telemarket support team- I also have phone records, emails, screenshots of your product pages.
Sorry, but as I have read through all of what you have said both here and in the support ticket, this is a case of misunderstanding - you believe the DJM-2000NXS to have some kind of functionality that it does not. The firmware version I used in my testing was irrelevant. We did not make any changes to remove functions, either through firmware or drivers. There was no cover-up or change to hide anything, because the only thing that has changed since the release of the mixer is our website's design.
I can't speak to the issue of the "false name," as I am not in the office with those people, but I would certainly encourage you to email any materials you have to support your claims to us - forums@pioneerdj.com and I will escalate it to our management team.
