You would need a video switcher.
Going to run my DDJ-1000 at an event but I was wondering if I have two laptops hooked up how do I get the videos from each laptop to play on screen when the songs are playing on different laptops?
You would need a video switcher.

Tried that with a Mac and an Alienware and every time we switched between PC'S the video display would reset on the screen. One thing for sure it was easier to redo the setup with Rekordbox than it was for Serato. Forgot to previously mention that each laptop was running different software and also ended up playing on an SZ
A professional-grade video input switcher wouldn't "interrupt" the output signal, so that's one consideration.
Do you maybe have a link for one of those?
There's tons on the market, but chances are you're not going to drop the several-hundred to thousands of dollars if it's just for casual use.
One cheaper solutions I have found that works well is by using OBS with NDI plug in and sending the video signal through ethernet from one laptop to another. You will need a fairly powerful laptop for it to push video without too much frame drop. but works well
Unfortunately i lost the link on how I did it on my mac but ithere are many youtube videos showing this for both mac and pc.
Definitely use the best high end Cat5/Cat6 cable to get best performance.
Hope this helps as solution
@DJ Revuleo Does this allow me to switch between the two laptops and show what's playing on each screen?
Yeah. So with rekordbox sending video thru Sypon you can pick what video signal you want sent out. And then you select whichever screen like you would change a camera. And OBS is free to use just download and mess around with it
