XDJ-RX "Replacement" picked up today.

I sent my XDJ-RX to the service centre in quebec over a month ago, it was getting the old 'Master Rec' flashing light and was otherwise a paperweight for a while.
It took weeks for a part to be ordered and then I was told a 'replacement' was on the way. For starters, this is definitely the same all-in-one I sent off. 

I get it home today, and I am unable to get any signal on the Master LED's or any output to the booth dial. The gains are up, eq's are at noon, filters are off. The channel LED's are lit.  Booth and Master dials are turned way up. I've updated firmware to 2.21. I've swapped out the TRS cables and run them straight into my monitors. 

The only way I am getting audio OUT from it is out of my computer speakers when using rekordbox in performance mode via usb cable, however the reason I bought this thing was to not be glued to a laptop. 

Please someone tell me I've forgotten something stupid, because I have a world of questions if I haven't.
