Hey Leo,
Have you checked that the crossfader has been assigned within the software?

I cannot tell at what point the crossfader stopped working while my XDJ R1 is connected to my Windows laptop running Rekordbox Performance software.
The XDJ R1 is on Firmware version 1.13, I am running Rekordbox version 5.4.2 rev 15329
First off, when I am using the XDJ-R1 along with either CD's or a USB Stick the crossfader works as expected.
When I have the laptop connected and the Mixer Mode on the XDJ R1 is set to XDJ-R1 all Output is sent to Channel 1. The Crossfader has some slight effect but this is not really working because there is no Control of Channel 2 when you slide the Channel 2 Volume slider.
When I have the laptop connected and the Mixer Mode on the XDJ R1 is set up PC then the Output for Channel 1 is sent to Channel 1 and the Slider for Channel 1 controls the level. The same thing goes for Channel 2 output. The volume level for Channel 2 is controlled by the Channel 2 slider. But at this point the Crossfader has no effect on anything, I have tried changing the Cross F Curve settings and this still has no effect.
Does anybody else have this problem?
Is there anything that the software engineers can suggest to try?

That was the problem. Thank you very much.
Always happy when it's something simple! :) Enjoy.
Hi, my issue is the same as above. I own a XDJ R1 for many years and recently decided to connect it Recordbox in performance mode. All works fine but the crossfader. Separate volume level appear in the vu meter for both channels as ithey should: however, even, as per above, assigning the left channel to 1 and the right channel to 2, both channel seem to be controlled by the R1's left fader and the R1's crossfader seems inactive.
The crossfader works well in the software using the mouse but not via the hardware XDJ R1 contoller. Can anyone help? Many thanks.
