If you format them to FAT32 on a Mac, you need to ensure they're set to Master Boot Record so it will be detected.
Hi, I just grabbed an RX2 and I've got one concern with it so far. It seems unable to want to read my external HDs/SSDs that contain my larger Rekordbox playlists. I'm getting Error Code E-8307.
I had thought this was a power supply issue but looking around on the forums it seems some people are having a similar issue and it looks like the drives have to be FAT32 formatted? This is strange as my Mac OS Extended Journaled HDDs/SSDs are read normally by my CDJ2000 setup - and the USB sticks I have working fine in the XDJ are also formatted to Mac OS Extended Journaled.
If I reformat the drives to FAT32 on a Mac, does this mean they are subject to the 32GB limit of the format? Will FAT or ExFAT work? I have about 500GB of music on each of them that I'd like access to.
Thanks for your time!

In fat32 you should be able to create partitions of up to 124GB. With Win10 I was able to create exfat partitions but the xdj rx2 did not recognize the usb memory. Using an external tool I got to format in fat32 the usb memory and it works perfectly and windows recognizes it well.
The theoretical limit of fat32 is 8Tb, but I have never tried to format fat32 partitions so large. I have a 160gb classic ipod that according to windows is formatted in fat32.
The ipod classic does not recognize the xdj rx2 although I think it is more support problem than the partition. A bitch can not use that ability.
