What was the file type (MP3, WAV, AIFF, etc)?
Where were the files located?
Which version of rekordbox was used to import those tracks?
Hi.
I just found for the third time a track with an incorrect Title assigned.
This has happened with tracks that I know were named correctly, because I have played them on my PC and other softwares
Ex.
Style Of Eye & Tom Staar - After Dark (Hard Rock Sofa Remix)
Drive Dealers - Colors (Jim Pavloff Remix)
Changed to:
Style Of Eye & Tom Staar - After Dark (Hard Rock Sofa Remix)
Drive Dealers - After Dark (Hard Rock Sofa Remix)
Happened the same thing with 2 more tracks.
The problem is that I dont have a clue about when the problem was generated or what may have caused it.
I was lucky enough to find these, but now I have the doubt of how many tracks could have the same issue or even worse is the issue happening with the Key field.

Hi. thanks for the quick response
The file type is MP3
Located in my hard disk drive
I will confirm the version of rekordbox later today when I get home.
additionally I will export all my MP3 tags to an excel to check if there are more tracks with the issue.
I will let you know.
Do you use a tag editor before importing to rekordbox?
Please verify the tags of those affected files to see if perhaps they had been written incorrectly prior to import.
Years ago I used a tag editor to organize all my tags.
But I am sure the tracks I have found incorrect were correct weeks ago in rekordbox.
I know because the track I used as example "Drive Dealers - Colors (Jim Pavloff Remix)" I used a few days ago on a set I recorded, then days later had the Title "After Dark (Hard Rock Sofa Remix)"
I won't say that it's not possible for rekordbox to have changed the track title, because with software, anything can happen (even accidentally thanks to bad code!), but is there any chance that it might have occurred to to a keyboard mishap?
For it to happen to multiple tracks is a bit odd, but it would be worth noting the how/when... were they loaded one after another? Did you select one and have it loaded, then select that other track (even if not loaded)? We'll need a bit more diagnostic work in order to try and determine what happened, so anything you can think of might help.
lately the only field I have been manipulating is the Key, as I have been rechecking the key detected by rekordbox against the Key I had detected before.
And as of when and how it happened, I am not sure, as I just found it. but dont know when occured.
One thing that I have done is to write multiple tags at once
Ex,
deleting garbage comments from multiple tracks at once
adding the same key to a few tracks at once
But lets wait till I make the comparison to see if we have a big issue or is it just those 3 tracks that I have found.
So I did the comparison and didnt find any other incorrect title, so lets blame it on me by now.
if it happens again I will try to notice what happened if it was me or the software.
for the record my version of rekordbox is 5.4.2 rev.15329-14432-14377 x64
You should update to 5.4.3, but please do let us know if it occurs in future so we can try and trace the cause.
Do I have to pay to do the upgrade?
