It's possible that your USB device is to blame -- but I'd also recommend upgrading the firmware.
What is the make / model / capacity / format of the drive(s) you were using?

Problem with USB ports in XDJ-RX2
Hi,
I am owner of my XDJ-RX2 for almost a year. I have noticed last time that something weird happened with the USB ports.
During one night, two times I was not able to load another song because of "wait" text that has been displayed on the screen. I was waiting 10~ minutes without any result. The second port did not work as well so I had to restart my RX2 to return the music.
Both of the ports were blinking with the red light.
It happened after 2-3hours of playing during the night and it happened in 3 gigs in a row.
I did the format of the both usb sticks but it did not help. I am using only mp3/wav files to play.
I did not update the original version of the RX2 software ( so there is rb v1.2 ).
Could you please advise what is the reason of this issue?

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I was using this pendrive for almost a year without any problems.
The usb I use is: sandisk ultra flair usb stick with 8gb of memory.
Of course its formatted as Fat32 as recommended.
I am scared because I tried to use only one pendrive but when it crashed, I was not able to plug in the second to play music. Both of the ports have been disabled and useless.
Only restarting the whole console helps that was the only one way I found to fix the problem.
Do you think that this issue exists because of usb stick? If so, why the second port is also unavailable?
I will try to buy a new stick and check if it helps.
Could you please provide me the list of the recommended sticks I should use?
I would be grateful for any information from your side.

Try updating the firmware first and let me know if that changes anything.
