XDJ-RX2 + REKORDBOX

Hello I have been unable to record in Rekordbox with XDJ-RX2

I do use a MacBook and have been able to record audio on my Mac however when connected to the XDJ-RX2, the audio will not record at all.

I do have Mojave however I did check through the manual for downloading the audio drivers and did do everything mentioned with that.

I am really at a loss here.

System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy (tab) > Microphone (left) and click the checkmark next to rekordbox on the right.

Rekordbox actually does not show up for me in Privacy/Microphone

Then it's possible you haven't properly installed the drivers / rekordbox hasn't prompted the system yet... try this:

  1. Disconnect the XDJ-RX2.
  2. Download the driver.
  3. Open the driver package and run the uninstaller file.
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. Open the driver package and run the driver installation file.
  6. After the installation has completed, give the drivers permission.
  7. Reboot your computer.
  8. Connect the XDJ-RX2 and test again.

I've done that a couple of times the drivers have been given permission they are not in Disabled Software.

But I still do not get any prompt from rekordbox nor does it show in Privacy/Microphone.

Why not just press record on the RX2 and record your set to  USB?

Or do you livestream?
