@James > That issue was with a DJM and the first gen retina MBP's with touchbar, this is the first I've heard of it affecting an iMac.
I'll loop you in on a ticket and try to gather some additional info.
I picked up the DJM 450 a week or so ago, lovely mixer, solidly built and easy to set up. One MAJOR issue I have is that when I power down the mixer, my mac freezes, all external drives are ejected along with peripherals disconnecting (such as my trackpad).
Same issue when occurs when I unplug the USB cable connecting my mac to my 450.
I have to do a hard restart on my mac every time this occurs. I note a user on these forums had similar issues with the 900, but that doesn't seem to have been resolved.
I'm using an Imac Retina 5K 27 inch late 2015, running OS Mojave.
Any help with regards to this issue would be gratefully received...

Thanks!

Do you have any more information on this? I have a 2016 MBP touchbar and a DJM-S3. I've been having a variety of issues, I just did a clean install of Catalina because I thought it was my machine. I'm having almost the exact same issues. If I unplug the mixer usb, the drive ejects.
Sorry, the ticket is still open with our engineers and there has not been a resolution as the cause has not yet been identified. Thank you for your patience.
I have the same issue on
iMac18,3
OS 10.15.4 (But I remember it was happening before Catalina)
DDJ-RB
USB Type-A connection
After I disconnect the controller Bluetooth and USB devices stop working until reboot.
UPD. Looks like I've been using an old driver. I will update and report back.
UPD2. Same with 2.1.0
@Evgeniy > Have you tried using a USB hub to see if that still occurs?
No, I'm not sure if I have any around..
However I've noticed that this doesn't usually happen if I quit rekordbox before unplugging the controller. Unplug while rekordbox is running → freeze; Close rekordbox and then unplug → no freeze.
That reminds me of an old joke...
Man: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
Doctor: "Well don't do that."
😂
I asked if you've tried a hub because I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact it's in use and there's a power draw.
I haven't tried a hub.
The device is plugged directly to the computer along with 2 other USB devices (a video capture card and an external sound card). So it might be a power issue.
UPD. Leaving only one device connected didn't help.
