So I had a problem with the grounding and vinyl mode last March. After a tedious conversation with Pioneer support they suggested I have it service under warranty. I had to take it from Boston to NYC since that was the closest authorized repair center. I got it repaired, it took about a month, and when I got it back it was fine. Now it's starting to exhibit the same issue.
When I touch the jog wheel it stutters instead of stopping completely. If I have another finger on the top of the deck, it stops completely. Obviously whatever board the dealer replaces has the same issue.
Pioneer, what are you going to do about this?
I just looked at the service log and note that they did replace the mainboard (in 19 days, not 30) and tested it as fully functional. I'm sorry to hear this is happening again, but it seems the problem you're having is a difference in capacitance between your body and the jog. Our recommendation is to ensure that you and the XDJ are properly grounded and not isolated, possibly holding any static charge.
