I'm trying to use my DJM 750mk2 as a 4-channel midi controller and sound card for Ableton.
In the Mixer Output tab of the driver I set USB 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 to correspond with my Ableton tracks 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively. The Ableton tracks are all running Ext. Out to these corresponding outputs.
Now, I want to send my Ableton Master channel to a seperate output in my mixer so I can hear my Send FX. The Send FX is the only audio going thru my Ableton Master because Ableton tracks 1-4 are routed Ext. Out as previously mentioned.
USB 9/10 is the only output left in my mixer and the only potential output selection in the driver is "REC OUT". So I put my Ableton Master Out to 9/10 but I don't hear anything.
What is the "REC OUT" for the mixer audio output? I would assume it's the MASTER output of the mixer but its not sending my routed channel there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry, there is no capacity to do a separate output for the SEND FX; you should apply the FX as a return back to the source channel instead so it's passed to the mixer on output.
The REC OUT is for returning the master mix from the mixer so you can record it.

Bouncing off of Sebastian's question above - can you record the master mix from the 750 into Ableton via the USB cable or do you need route the 1/4" cables on the mixer into another audio interface connected into Ableton?
@Steve > Yes, you just need to configure one of the output pairs from the mixer to be the REC output, then select that in Ableton and record it.

Bouncing off of both questions above, I would like to know if/how it is possible to Sync Ableton Live with two CDJs (provided they have a RJ45 socket) through the DJM750mk2.

Hi Sara,
The DJM-750MK2 doesn't have ProDJ Link (ethernet) to synchronize to the players, so the beat detection is read from the audio signal itself. The DJM can then send tempo signal via MIDI over the USB connection to the computer for Ableton Live to receive and thus synchronize, however it won't be 100% accurate since the signal is being read from the audio.

The DJM-900 family all has the ProDJ Link to actually get the tempo signal from the CDJs/XDJs (same with the DJM-V10, and DJM-2000), but the others all use a similar method to that of the DJM-750MK2 where it detects the beat from audio.
