DJM250MK2

DJM250MK2  When Channel 1 selector switch is on USB setting, I get digital noise or feedback, using it in Rekordbox 5.8.  I think there is something wrong with this switch.

I just received the unit. Can I get another one sent out to me?

Hey Jeff,

A digital noise over the USB connection can sometimes be an issue of a bad USB cable, or poor isolation on your computer's charging circuit if you're using a laptop. The first fix is obvious - try a different USB cable, and the second would be to disconnect the computer's power supply and run only off the battery; if the noise disappears, the problem is that of noise between the charging and USB circuits on the mainboard and a new DJM won't fix that problem.

Let us know if either of those fix the issue for you.

But the problem doesn't happen on channel 2 usb. It's a brand new unit out of the box along with the usb cable. What kind of usb cable should I try? I'll even try it on another laptop running off battery and get back to you. Thanks for responding.

That's fine -- if you're able to try these simple troubleshooting items first, it may avoid the need to get an exchange.

Any USB cable (eg. for your printer) will work. Be sure you're connecting it directly from the computer and not through a hub.
