Is it possible to use the built in sound card on the DJM-900 Nexus 1 (NOT 2) as an input audio centre for streaming live sets using the likes of OBS? Every article I have come across or video tutorial seems to be for the Nexus 2 variate.
I use the built in sound card to record sets via usb to my MacBook and Audacity on a weekly basis so know how to manage the utility settings.
So far I have set up OBS and I am able to select the mixer as a source for the input. With music playing, the input levels on OBS are moving so clearly I'm getting sound in but going out via Facebook or Twitch the sound is intermittent. Sometimes it works perfectly for 20 minutes or so before the audio drops out, other times it only works for a couple of minutes before the output audio disappears and other times it doesn't give an audio output at all.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The guide is the same for most DJMs, but the difference is pretty much the REC-OUT channel assignment. If you're getting audio drop-outs, better to check the system resource usage and internet stream quality within the OBS window than to suspect the issue is with the DJM.
Thank you for the reply Pulse. I was guessing it's an issue with OBS due to having no problems at all on the weekly basis when I record mixes using Audacity via USB connection to the built in sound card.
I tried a recording (video and audio) on OBS today rather than a stream and it does exactly the same, audio going out of OBS cuts at various times but still shows a good input into OBS. It must be an issue on that side hence why I have spent days trawling the net to see if there is a specific configuration I need to use but so far have been unsuccessful.
If you're getting drop-outs in the recording only without streaming only within OBS but not Audacity, then I'd tinker around in OBS with the settings to see what you can optimize.
Also, to clarify I am using the following:
Macbook Pro OS 10.15.4 Catalina
OBS - 25.0.7 (latest version)
DJM-900 nexus firmware 1.32 and driver 1.5.0 (The latest updates before becoming unsupported) All 4 USB settings on mixer output set to REC OUT -5db.
CDJ-2000 nexus firmware 1.43 connected to channels 1 & 3 on the mixer.
