Rekordbox 6 wont analyze tracks properly

Hi there,

I just updated to rekordbox 6, which took around 48h of library conversion. Now I need to "Add new analysis data" which doesnt work correctly. Rekordbox process about 8 tracks in parallel correctly and then stops. I need to load an arbitrary track into my deck to have rekordbox process another 8 tracks. It seems not to automatically scan another track after finishing the previous one.

This problem occurred upon restarting my computer. Immediately after library conversion, everything worked fine as I scanned around 50k songs. Then I continued another day and nothing works anymore.

I hope you can help me, as this is not a solution for another 100k tracks.

With best regards,

Fabian

Is your music on an external hard drive?

I had kind of a similar problem and fixed it by going to the setting>Analyse and in the "auto relocate search folders" box for some reason it was not showing my hd anymore so i just had to add it again and now it is working perfectly.

Hope this helps

My library is on my second internal drive. I have already added it to the search folders. Unfortunately, this didnt solve the problem. Do you have any other ideas?

Best regards

Fabian

@Fabian > "Second internal drive"... does that happen to be one in place of a Superdrive in a Mac?

I am using a tower PC running Win10. My windows is installed on my C: drive on 1TB SSD. For my music library I use another 1TB SSD on D:, where I put my master database. I changed all paths in rekordbox to the D: drive already.

Try disabling any network connections (wifi / ethernet); this is something our team is working to address.

You are right. After disabling the network connections the analysis worked again. Unfortunately, its speed decreased by 10x. This way it would take many days. I hope this will be fixed soon. Even when changing the analysis performance priority to max in the preferences, it would take forever. I can now decide:

no wifi: CPU usage alternating around 30% -> 1 song every 5 seconds
with wifi: CPU usage 100% constant and NO song will be analysed

Before this bug occurred, I analyzed around 2 songs a second.

Do you have any other ideas?

Do you have the analysis mode set to PERFORMANCE instead of NORMAL?

Yes. I tried both modes, Performance and Normal

Have you rebooted your computer to try again and see if that helps?
