CDJs do not come with a license key for Rekordbox DJ (Performance mode). You can use the free version of Rekordbox to prepare USB sticks for CDJs.

Can't register CDJ 850 my License key have problems
I have bought my CDJ 850 Pioneer in 2013, i have never used Rekordbox and i havent register in my Pioneer account this product, now that im interested to do it, there is a problem when i placed my license key number in both places cause dont recognize this number, when i try to place the info in Rekordbox shows error 5, and when i tried in pionner account as one of my products says the serial number is in wrong format (even avoiding - or spaces)
Im the only owner of this products, i have my original license key (license number and the cd as well) invoices as well.
How can i resolve this ???

But there is a record box key added. I got it too. A key was added to Rekordbox version 1.4.1. The weirdness is that the product key that was given consists of a series of 6-5-5-5-5 digits, while the new record box consists of a sequence of 5-5-5-5-5 digits. My question to me too is how to register with the old key.

@Djwyns > That license key was for rekordbox 1, but with the release of rekordbox 2, that requirement was removed. When we added Performance mode in rekordbox 4, that was added again to unlock that additional feature but the key was not valid for that new version. Unfortunately you'll have to purchase a subscription or compatible hardware unlock device for rekordbox 6 in order to use performance mode with your current hardware.
