DDJ-400 Knobs Super Wobbly... Send in for repair?

Hi,

Th eknobs on my DDJ-400 have become extremely loose and wobbly (in all directions). They have become so loose on the EQ, in fact, that I can no longer feel the "notch" at 12 o'clock anymore...

They all work fine tho... it's just that the firm tactile feeling has been lost. ALSO I'm worried that they are getting CLOSE to breaking, so I'd like to fix any impending issue before my warranty runs out.

My question is: Should I send this in for repair, or will you guys say "wobbly knobs don't prevent you from using the unit, so we won't repair this" (?)

I'll add that I've always been SUPER gentle with the unit. It's kept at home, I bought a decksaver for it, and also bought a case for it with eggshell foam on the inside to keep it protected those few times I've taken out.

I am trying so hard not to make a bad joke about a wobbly knob...

I'd suggest you contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre; that would be covered by warranty so long as it's not damaged as result of a drop or spill. Just be sure to include a copy of the purchase receipt for warranty validation (1 year from purchase).

I also want to add some detail to what I mean when I say that they are super wobbly "in all directions". What I mean is that, the knobs are not just loose when rotating them... They also wobble vertically... E.g.: they wobble vertically forward, back, left, and right.

This is what worries me the most because it suggests that the connection to the circuit board is loose, or the connection of the vertical shaft piece has gotten loose from potentiometer pot...
