Well over a month and still no light at then end of the tunnel. And even worse that pioneer made the choice to make it like this 😵
I just bought 2 cdj 3000 players and on both While Playing a track from usb Im experiencing an issue using the jog wheel, when bending the pitch It is to sensitive And glitchy its almost like a latency issue. It is nothing to do with the tension adjust. I have used the unit with HID mode in rekordbox and it feels Perfect and how it should when you bend the pitch and not all glitchy. There is definitely an issue with the software on both units and just does not feel right it Is over compensating the pitch bend to much.

Well over a month and still no light at then end of the tunnel. And even worse that pioneer made the choice to make it like this 😵
I'm confused - you don't see the answers provided as some kind of "light"? This is progress towards the solution and you sound as if we're ignoring it.
As long as it has been agreed that it 'will' be fixed (as opposed to 'if' it will be fixed)...this is certainly a 'must-have', not a 'could or should have'
To badly quote Bill Clinton: I guess it depends on what the meaning of "it" is.
And assuming the light at the end of the tunnel isn't an oncoming train in the form of something the owners in this thread didn't want. Not that there isn't stuff I personally wouldn't change about the whole CDJ line...
Anyway, this whole thread has made me want to break out my four CDJs and give them a whirl again. So crisp. So clean.
Guys, being perfectly transparent - this is the flagship player. There should be no doubt that our company wants to make this unit as good as possible, so of course it will be fixed, Clinton quotes notwithstanding. ;)
any news on when to expect this to be resolved ? all i keep getting is messages in reply from my reported ticket from 2 months ago saying that pioneer are aware of the problem but don't know how or when it is going to be fixed. i can't believe their flagship model still has this defect and not even one attempt has been made to fix it yet. i understand it needs to be right but its well over 2 months now and nothing.......??????? not even a beta update for trials for people with the issue.
@peterlazarenko have you tried the latest firmware 1.06? Interested to know your thoughts...
@greig Gaskill yea I’ve tried it and made no difference to the issues although pioneer emailed me telling me that the problem has not need addressed in this update. The update fixed a few minor issues but still isn’t stable whilst running in rekordbox hid mode and I’ve had it personally glitch out in various different actions. On usb mode it’s still not 100% and still jumps about with the waveform very glitchy and doesn’t hold sync correctly. Hopefully the next update will have some sort of resolve. If it’s not then they are going back in the box and put away. And I’ll just stick to my ddj-rz
"any news on when to expect this to be resolved ? all i keep getting is messages in reply from my reported ticket from 2 months ago saying that pioneer are aware of the problem"
You have a ticket open, and we have provided updates when they've been available.
"... but don't know how or when it is going to be fixed."
I know exactly when it's expected to be fixed, but I can't disclose that information to you. Rest assured, it's being worked on.
"i can't believe their flagship model still has this defect and not even one attempt has been made to fix it yet."
We have already made one update, you acknowledged that yourself and even installed and tested it. We have another one coming, which was already noted as well. So I'll count that as one attempt, with another on deck.
"i understand it needs to be right but its well over 2 months now and nothing.......??????? not even a beta update for trials for people with the issue."
Exactly - it needs to be right, which is why it's taking time. And no, there will be no public beta for this as it is the flagship and we don't want a potentially faulty firmware ruining CDJs.
Thank you for your patience.
Laughable that last comment they all came out with faulty firmware. Hopefully the next update will be an improvement.
When I say "faulty" I mean "the kind that turns your CDJ into a doorstop."
any update on this problem ? its been 4 months now and still no further with a resolution. I've hardly used them at all. they get used to charge my phone more than actually using to mix with. wish i stuck with the 2000s.
I see there is an updated firmware 1.08 but still no fix for the jog sensitivity ongoing issue. Is there actually going to be a fix because this is just beyond a joke now. 5 months on and nothing. Come on pioneer what is going on.
Peter,
Our engineers are aware of this and are still investigating the issue. Thanks for your patience.
@Pulse, what is the advice to users, from Pioneer DJ on this issue then?
Should they return their units back under warranty? As it appears that your engineers acknowledge the issue, however do not have a fix for it.
Also should those interested in buying the 3000 purchase it (or hold off until resolved)?
If you already have one, wait.
If you don't yet, you can choose to wait on your purchase or buy it and wait for any updates.
@Pulse - thanks.
Do we know if all 3000 units are affected by this issue, or a subset?
All; it's not a hardware fault.
Hi pulse I know you and several other pioneer employees have said this issue is going to be resolved but I had an email in reply to my ticket pretty much saying it is not going to be fixed. Can you pleases clarify that the issue will be resolved. If not is there a particular procedure to return these units under warranty as currently they are unfit for purpose and quite useless to me. Thanks
Your support ticket (#229674) has been updated, if you still need to talk to us just reply to this email

Hello Peter,
Sorry for not replying to you for such a ling time.
Actually, CDJ-3000 engineers and product planners have worked hard to provide the optimal pitch bend solution for all the DDJ-3000 users.
In conclusion, even after some beta versions were tested by many professional and internal DJs, they were not able to provide customers with such optimal solutions to satisfy all the CDJ-3000 customers.
Their official answer in the FAQ is below.
Answer : Firmware ver. 1.08 brings no change to the pitch bend specification compared to ver. 1.06. However, we'll continue to study feedback from our customers on the unit's pitch bend performance.
Sorry for not meeting your expectation and thank you very much for your kind understanding.
Best regards,
Pioneer DJ Support
@Peterlazarenko
Pretty much the response I had on the timing delays between linked decks was the same. Like you, I just want my money back now as I cannot use them as they are and this has dragged on far too long.
If it was car it would have been recalled and I'd either have a courtesy car or my money back. Had issues with LG OLED TV's before and they offered me my money back or the updated model. Pioneer just tell us to wait, but I bought these 5 months ago and am sick of being asked to wait now.
Pioneer: Give me my £4,338 back and you can have your decks back.
@Greig Gaskill, it’s just a joke like you say if you had brought a new car and and had issues say the steering was to sensitive, I’m pretty sure they would recall the car and fix it not just fob you off saying maybe not steer so hard or just keep waiting to then be told it is what it is. I want to know how to return these paper weights. I’m just lost as to why a setting can’t be implemented in to the unit to be able to change its sensitivity. The simplest of solutions.
@Peterlazarenko I don't understand the complete lack of response from Pioneer or the fact more are not moaning about it. It all seems so secretive, which goes against any other manufacturer out there. Our warranties are running out for kit that is not being used and there seems to be no avenue for a return or reimbursement.
I've never been so frustrated with a purchase. I seem the same posts being made with support asking the same questions, as if it's new to them...
I'm going to try the credit card company to see what my options are.
Lack or response? I just replied on Tuesday saying we're still working on it.
@Peter > You can't compare the pitch-bend issue here with faulty steering in a car; one has the risk of killing people.
@Pulse, you have responded, but not much more than wait, we are working on it. But you are not the "Pioneer" I am referring to... See it from our point of view, it may go a long way to understanding our frustration.... Pioneer support responses come across as it's not going to be sorted. This isn't a personal attack on you, but "Pioneer" need to put a statement out to us at least.
DJ to DJ ... can I ask what you're expecting them to say? What information could they provide you that would give you the satisfaction you seek?
Thanks @Pulse.
What if it can't be fixed?
@Pulse.. I could go into real depth here, but I won't... When I work with software houses and there is an issue with a release we get a document explaining the issue, how it was found, the workaround if any, and a project timescale of rectifying it. "Wait and thank you for your patience" is not enough this far down the line. Especially with the support ticket responses that pretty much say "Oh well, it's standard" and so on. These issues were not seen with the 2000NSX2, so moving to the 3000's you wouldn't expect them... There is a real communication issue between the decks talking to each other amongst many other problems.
Believe me, all of us want to say "Bl00dy good job Pioneer, these are perfect"
@Grieg Gaskill
2 key observations here:
1. Pioneer DJ's current Service Support Model is obviously not working / joined-up, as it should be (on and offshore) - this is inhibiting them to provide the level of customer service (and satisfaction) required (which quite frankly is unacceptable) - Pioneer DJ leadership will know this
2. The 3000's are absolutely in Beta (i.e. they are not 'club ready') - I therefore believe current firmware versions should have a prefix of '0' e.g. v0.7, v0.8 (and NOT v1.8)
@Ben Walker
I totally agree with you and wish as much that it would be confirmed by Pioneer. But they won't as nobody has ever paid RRP for Beta of anything. I wouldn't mind being a guinea pig at a price that meant I hadn't had to have moved on my perfectly working NSX2000's, which has ended up with me not being able to fulfil bookings for Radio Shows or mix requests.
