S11 causes audio/video hang

Can't say for certain but since I've had the S11 and used it as a default audio output, I've been encountering an issue where the audio stops playing on my laptop and it affects buffering in my browsers and other software applications. It also causes video from playing.

At first rebooting resolved the problem for a time. Then I read this article: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-fix-audio-issues-in-macos/

And when the issue re-occurred I switched from the S11 as output to internal speakers, which resulted in the issue disappearing. Selecting the S11 again immediately triggers the issue again.

It's odd to see this happen as I've used my DDJ-1000 in a similar way but never encountering this.

I've only discovered this as I've been spending longer hours on my Macbook and perhaps the reintroduction of bluetooth devices play a role in this. So I will do some further testing but wanted to report it ahead of time.

So I think I've might have found the culprit. It's not bluetooth or one of the virtual audio plug-ins.

It's the USB cable (DJTT) that I used with my DDJ-1000. I feel like an idiot.

I swapped it with another USB cable I was using (also DJTT) after 2 days because it was angled. And I think that is when the issues started arising as I was on the mixer/computer longer. Having swapped it back and also trying the default one that the S11 came shipped with, I'm not experiencing the audio/video issue anymore (so far).

What's odd is that the DDJ-1000 doesn't prompt the audio issue with the same cable the S11 has an issue with.

The problem is back. It even got triggered within 5 minutes of turning on the S11.

Even when using the supplied USB cable does audio and video not play in the various web browsers when the S11 is chosen as default audio output.
The moment I unplug the USB cable audio and video immediate starts playing.

The only difference between now and my first post is that Rekordbox is on 6.4. Also had this on 6.3.

I'm currently testing to see if it's the USB port on the S11 (already tried different ports on my Mac) will make a difference.

I was using my S11 in the same configuration and didn't have the same problems on the exact same OS... which browser?

Same as the first post, MacOS 10.15.7.
Happens in Chrome 87.0.4280.67 and Safari 14.0.1.

Early November it also happened in iMove (no audio, video no buffering) until I unplugged the usb/S11.

Uninstalled a few more 3rd party software and plugins I don't use often but the problems still persists, only not as often.

Read on a DJTT comment that they think it's related to a memory leak of the DJM-S11 setting manager. Is that correct?

I currently do not have a back-up set-up in place to do a full OS wipe to see if that solves anything.

Here is a video as it just happened 3 times in the last 30 minutes. At 2:51 I unplug the USB cable. Forgot to continue recording as I put the cable back in and the audio routed through the mixer again like there was nothing wrong
