Are you on the Browse setting on the XDJ-XZ?
I have purchased a new laptop with windows 10. Rekordbox 6.0 installed, latest driver for xz and firmwire installed.
I am having an issue with the link function. when I connect 1 and 2 after pressing the initial link button, the track list doesnt appear on the controller screen and i cannot scroll through the tracks that appear on the laptop screen. I have rekordbox in performance mode.
Any ideas as to why the link function isnt working properly. I had no issues when using an older laptop

Are you on the Browse setting on the XDJ-XZ?
Yes I am on the browse setting. I think the issue may be that windows 10 is not installing the driver correctly. When i open rekordbox > settlings> audio, under control device information at the bottom, the box is blank.
Any ideas?
Id really appreciate a response on this....it is very frustrating not to be able to use the controller with a brand new laptop and given how much we spend on your products, I would expect a better customer service level.....
Please help!!
I have the same problem. I have a small work around: dont link both channels just one and you can start browsing on your laptop but wont see anything on your XZ screen. This all happend after installing the latest Rekordbox and firmware.
Please help your customers. Your support is terrible.
You attract more flies with honey than vinegar. ;)
Which version of rekordbox are you using? 6.5.1 is the current version.
Which firmware is installed on the XDJ-XZ? 1.22 is the current version (there was an update recently).
I'm using 6.5.1 and Firmware 1.22.
But my problem got magicly solved during a set. Suddenly the track list came visible on the XZ.
Thanks for the reply.
I occasionally have the same problem. The only way to fix this is to disconnect the XZ from the laptop, reconnect and try again. Sometimes multiple times. Sometimes worth restarting RB or even the whole macbook.
If connecting via USB:
- check the cable / adapter
- try without a USB hub (if you have one in use)
- try a different port
If connecting via ethernet:
- be sure you're using an approved ethernet adaptor
- check that the adaptor is shown in your network settings
- if on Windows, make sure it's in the correct network type (or "neighborhood"); should not be "Public"
- disable your firewall for diagnostic purposes
- disable any file sharing or network services that may be interfering
- scan for malware / viruses
- disable the malware / virus scanners which may mis-identify the traffic as harmful
- try connecting one device directly instead of through a router (as some routers or managed network switches have traffic shaping / management features which may block the Pro DJ Link data)
