DDJ SB-3 Buttons still not working properly

I've now had the controller for a couple of years. It didn't work when I first got it, I tried it for a few months and finally it began working correctly, then stopped working again. The only controls that work are some of the knobs (Trim, both EQs, Master Level, Browse), channel faders, and cross fader. The channel faders work as they should except when you set it to minimum, at which time it resets the song. Cue button does nothing and Play button does what Cue button should do. Load buttons do nothing, Tempo scrollers do nothing, can't toggle on/off key lock, Master (can't hear anything through headphone port), Channels, Sync.... You get the idea. All the lights work, but the buttons don't do anything.

I recently saw a post where a Pioneer technician was helping troubleshoot the same problem after another user reported it. The technician recommended testing the mapping by downloading a MIDI Monitor, and after running the test, I found that my mapping was not showing the correct results according to the Pioneer representative.

It was a helpful test, but now I can't find that post anymore, and when the technician left off the answer was "we don't know what the result means, I have to ask engineering and get back to you" or something along those lines. Did anyone ever come up with a solution for this problem?

The most common cause of this issue is the computer not providing sufficient power to the controller. Please try using a different USB cable or different USB port on your computer -- or even troubleshoot by testing a different computer if possible.

Should the issues persist, it's entirely possible there is a hardware fault in the controller, in which case, please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.

I found the previous post regarding the Mapping issue. The Pioneer technician responded on February 4, 2019, but after saying they would pass the issue up to engineering, never responded again. Does anyone have further information about this issue?
