DDJ-SX3 Discontinued?

I get that the DDJ-1000SRT was kinda a successor, but let's be real: if the DDJ-1000 wasn't that incredibly huge, I would have bought the DDJ-1000 instead of the SX3, especially since I kinda hate the idea to pay for licenses of crappy software I will never use in my life.

So the SX3 was the maximum in size I would take to be mobile.

I think the DDJ-SX3 suffered badly from the negative press about the bugs of the first release. Although I have no idea what kind of bugs those were, as they could have been related to the way serato interacts with the controller and I am not using serato.

Anyway, glad to hear it's not EOL yet, because it's an awesome controller.

I agree. I don't like the the size nor the layout of the DDJ-1000SRT.  Luckily I haven't had issues with the SX3, but was looking for a second unit for the business.  I would be open to see if an SX4 is being worked on.

If you don't want to use rekordbox, you wouldn't purchase the DDJ-1000, but if you did, there is no license purchase required.

Most of the SX3 bugs were actually conflicts in the computers from users. I've talked to DJS who have used an SX3 and never had an issue, and others who have had their SX3 replaced several times but still have the problems ... because it's used with the same computer (illustrating the problem isn't the SX3).

I can't speak to any future products, but the current line of products should speak to the possible future lineup.

the DDJ-SX3 has been a disaster for me. Took it to get repaired under warranty 3x and nothing was found. Changed laptops, changed OS, used Serato. Even used open source mixxx and algoriddim and the left jog wheel stops working in vinyl mode during the middle of a set. No matter what OS or software is used.

I loved sx3, but i had touch issues on left jog wheel after scratching. Sent in 8 times andbthey never found anything like above post. After bitching enougg they refunded money. So sad. I do believe serato is the issue to some extent. Jmho. Vdj is the way
